Rise and shine orange

My second Queensday in the Netherlands was as great or even better than the first one. I got to witness the historical moment where the Queen of last 30 years handed over her position to her son Willem-Alexander. 'Koningendag' is traditionally celebrated outiside; people of all ages dress up in orange and simply have fun. In Amsterdam you can see the canalboats carrying joyful people, the streets filled with adults and children selling second hand items and many festivals around the city playing good music. I paid respect for the occasion with orange hair and lots of dancing at Rotzooii festival. Next year it'll be Kingsday. Different date, same ammount of fun I'm sure.

My lovely friend Sara and this blond girl(!) changed the year yeasterday at 23.00. We were on our way to a party, got lost in the rain, saw this beautiful bridge and decided to celebrate right there and then. "Well its new year somewhere!" Our beautiful party hats got soaken wet and broke, our champagne dropped on the ground and these curled and straightened hairstyles were history. We just had to laugh and be glad that we were there together. Eventually we found the party, our friends and new glasses of champagne and got to do it all over again. Just like we get a do over and a fresh start in the beginning of this new year.
Thank you 2012 for all you gave me. For the people you brought to my life and for the dear friends who have been there for longer. Thank you for teaching me the value of health and my loved ones. Thank you for helping me grow by giving me lessons, both good and bad. Most of all thank you for teaching me the value of right now. I welcome 2013 as a happier and more grateful person. Happy New year everyone!
Xmas Party details

Yesterday me and my girlfriends had our annual little christmas party. Theme is the same every year; red & hot. Everyone was looking so gorgeous that I had to bring out my camera and start disturbing the ladies with "oh hold still", "can you look a bit to the right" and "I love that, can I take a picture of it?". Never the less we had a great time like always. Until next year!

Some party beats and my new cool earrings I wore at Amsterdam Dance event. Awsome for conversations during loud tracks in dark dancing events. Exclamation point for agreeing and question mark for when I can`t hear or understand the person I´m talking to. These songs are from some of the DJs I saw at ADE. I totally fell in love with the set by a guy called Rarash. A good DJ reacts to the audience with his music (and plays live) and thats excactly what he did. Another more amazing song after another. Unfortunately I couldn`t find a set on youtube that would`ve made him justice, but I highly recommend to check him out if you can. Me and my friends certainly danced our hearts out. Good music and good company, thats all this girl really needs...but a nice show with fireworks is pretty fine too.

To stay in the subject of music, I present to you one of my idols, a true Rock`n Roller; Michael Monroe. This guy started his career in 1971 and is still one of the most succesful Finnish musicians. He`s most well known from being the lead singer in the band Hanoi Rocks. He is an amazingly energetic performer and an extraordinary human being. Michael Monroes music and even more his enthusiasm towards it has always inspired me. This year he was chosen to be the most respected rock musician in the world. I wanted to introduce him to people that might not have heard of him and honour him for turning 50 last month. Rock on!
Beats in the woods

Friends of mine orginized a small forest festival last saturday. Barbeque, cool people and good music by a river in the woods. Great concept that I hope will be seen again!

I hope that everyone in the United Kingdom and around the world had an amazing time while celebrating Queen Elizabeth's 60 year reign.
I spent the long weekend celebrating the occasion at just one of the street parties in the UK, filming a segment for BEN TV as she did so (In association with The Lizzy Show). For those of you that missed the broadcast here is the video on YouTube!
The rain did not deter us from flooding the streets of London to see the Royal celebrations or holding a party ourselves.
Thank you for watching!
