I'd like to introduce - http://www.lallawandavi.com/ -The 'tactile' play is an important part in her work. It's just as important to have Maria Laura's sensual wraps around ones body as the visual components reflect her philosophy of comfort and 'wearablility' as well as formal elegance.

Just in time for the Summer
Fall With You is the debut release from
The Undertakings

Here is a sneak preview of the cover of Fall With You.
Fall With You is the debut single from The Undertakings.
The Undertakings is a musical duo made up of myself (Georgie-May Tearle) and Robbie Fithon, ranging from Trance to House, even Pop.
As soon as I heard Fall With You I instantly fell in love with it. Everything about the track screamed style and even while recording I could not stop myself from dancing.
Being in a studio is an amazing experience, any vocalist or musician will tell you that, but recording for The Undertakings really is so much fun. It is so important to be comfortable around the people you are working with, it makes things so much easier and more importantly, happier.
But by no means do we have a laid back atmosphere. We are very committed to what we do and are always planning ahead and working hard (as long as tea is available of course, haha!)
Fall With You is a Summer tune with catchy, memorable lyrics writen by a fantastic songwriter and producer that I am proud to be working with, when heard once you want to play over and over. I certainly did.
We are really happy with the feedback we have revieved so far and I am really excited about the release and looking forward to seeing what the future brings.
Fall With You is presented with an extended mix and a radio edit. You can listen to an exclusive promo of The Undertakings first single, Fall with you, via the video link below.

Animal Hats- Trends of Winter 2011

Animal Hats- Trends of Winter 2011
There are many trends of 2011 that we will not miss and many that we will keep in our day to day fashion for many months, or even years to come but there is one trend that has many conflicting views, the animal headed and animal eared hats.
I'd like to make it clear that I am in no way endorsing the disgraceful displays recently seen on runways from the likes of Gaultier and Coco Roca, who have needlessly slaughtered animals for their designs.
Celebrities have taken to the artificial animal headed hats such as Nicki Minaj and Snoop Dogg. Both artists known for their outrageous clothing designs and fashion statements but taking such fashion trends to the highstreet can leave a bitter taste in the mouth. As although this may look great on the likes of these outragously dressed celebs and ten year old children, the animal headed hats should be worn with caution as they will not suite everyone and for many will be left in the past.
Although onto another line of hats for Winter 2011, the Faux Fur eared hats with built in paws is an essential item to keep in your wardrobe for next Winter. I fell in love with them as soon as they came onto our runways and I was over the moon when I was bought one for Christmas.
However, there has emerged a small minority who have been critical of the trend, claiming it encourages the fur industry. Of course nothing cuold be further from the truth.
To say that using Faux Fur in fashion encourages the needless slaughter of animals is not only naive but completley misses fashion as an art form. Art takes inspiration from the environment around it and nature provides some of the most impressive and beautiful designs in the animal world. The use of Faux Fur not only reflects this but celebrates the fact that we are now able to replicate this without resorting to needless cruelty.
As many of you will be aware I am passionate about animal welfare and a supporter of numerous animal charities such as PETA and the WDCS. For further information about the charities visit their websites.

Fashion & Safe Sex

Fashion & Safe Sex
Many may believe that fashion and safe sex have no connection but in reality they have more of a commonality than we may think.
Below you will find photographs of fashion designers, designing their own dresses but instead of using fabrics they have used condoms.

Even Lady Gaga has got on the band wagon being named the face of VIVA GLAM.
Since 2009 Lady Gaga has been the face of the VIVA GLAM. VIVA GLAM is a part of the MAC AIDS Fund, which was established by the cosmetics company MAC.
VIVA GLAM is a line lipsticks and cosmetics which all proceeds go to to help those with HIV/ AIDS.
The movement was started back in 1994, and since then their campaign has been headed by celebrities such as Elton John, Cyndi Lauper and many more.
In a recent article Lady Gaga said:
“Sex doesn’t mean nothing; sex means so much. I hope that young women know that sex is still a big deal, and they don’t have to put out soon. If they want someone to court them for a while before they give it up, that’s wonderful and beautiful, and a man will only respect you more for honouring your body. I am that way.”
The MAC AIDS Fund has raised $55 Million since 2009, and around $244 million dollars total so far.

Leap Year 2012-Marriage Proposals, a First for You Models & Confessions of a Model Blogger
29 Feb / 01:31 PM by Georgie May

Here is a little bit of information about Leap Day's for you... Just so you all know. 2012 is a leap year, which means that it has 366 days instead of the usual 365 days that an ordinary year has. An extra day is added in a leap year, February 29, which is called an intercalary day or a leap day.
Leap years are added to the calendar to keep it working properly. The 365 days of the annual calendar are meant to match up with the solar year. A solar year is the time it takes the Earth to complete its orbit around the Sun, about one year. But the actual time it takes for the Earth to travel around the Sun is in fact a little longer than that, about 365 ¼ days (365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes, and 46 seconds, to be precise). So the calendar and the solar year don't completely match, the calendar year is a touch shorter than the solar year.
The Egyptians were the first to come up with the idea of adding a leap day once every four years to keep the calendar in sync with the solar year. Later, the Romans adopted this solution for their calendar, and they became the first to designate February 29 as the leap day.
It may not seem like much of a difference, but after a few years those extra quarter days in the solar year begin to add up. After four years, for example, the four extra quarter days would make the calendar fall behind the solar year by about a day. Over the course of a century, the difference between the solar year and the calendar year would become 25 days! Instead of summer beginning in June, for example, it wouldn't start until nearly a month later, in July. So every four years a leap day is added to the calendar to allow it to catch up to the solar year.
The math seems to work out beautifully when you add an extra day to the calendar every four years to compensate for the extra quarter of a day in the solar year. As we said earlier, however, the solar year is just about 365 ¼ days long, but not exactly! The exact length of a solar year is actually 11 minutes and 14 seconds less than 365 ¼ days. That means that even if you add a leap day every four years, the calendar would still overshoot the solar year by a little bit, 11 minutes and 14 seconds per year. These minutes and seconds really start to add up: after 128 years, the calendar would gain an entire extra day.
To rectify the situation, the creators of our calendar (the Gregorian calendar, introduced in 1582) decided to omit leap years three times every four hundred years. This would shorten the calendar every so often and rid it of the annual excess of 11 minutes and 14 seconds. So in addition to the rule that a leap year occurs every four years, a new rule was added: a century year is not a leap year unless it is evenly divisible by 400. This rule manages to eliminate three leap years every few hundred years.
This ingenious correction worked beautifully in bringing the calendar and the solar year in harmony, pretty much eliminating those pesky extra 11 minutes and 14 seconds.

The Paul Cunningham Nurses 15km Charity Walk 2012

I was honoured to have been named the official face of the Paul Cunningham Nurses Charity based in Spain. I have always done my upmost to attend their events and charity walks. But due to not being able to attend the charity walk this year I decided to take on the challenge in the United Kingdom.
Video below. Also available to watch on the Paul Cunningham Nurses Charity website. Website stated at the bottom of the blog entry.

Paul Cunningham Nurses is a Charity set up in 2008 in memory of Paul Cunningham, who sadly passed away from spinal cancer.
The Paul Cunningham Nurses Charity provides a 'hospice at home' care and support service free of charge for people with any end stage terminal illness.
The nurses can also offer a very supportive general nursing service for those in need. It is an amazing cause and I have used my modelling skills to model for their campaigns and also help raise much needed funds. I would urge all, including models, to try and help charitable organisations in any way possible. Whether that be organising a fund raiser or using your modelling talents to help publicise an event. The smallest amount of kindness can go a long way to help charitable organisations and individuals alike.
